Análisis de las nuevas dinámicas de urbanización en Españasu estudio a través del uso de Corine Land Cover y SIOSE

Abstract

This work describes the methodological keys to manipulate the artificial land use data at a municipal level. The aim of this study is framed into the analysis of the changes in the extension and internal structure of the Spanish urban areas, using Corine Land Cover and SIOSE. Each database has its own characteristics of spatial resolution and distribution of land use categories, much more detailed in the case of SIOSE, but with longer temporal series in the case of Corine Land Cover. Geographical information systems have been used, along with relational databases, taking into account the quality and suitability of each land cover category to represent the urban dynamics. The use of both sources eases the analysis of the significance and the impacts of these processes.
