Resum

In this communication we present an experience of educational innovation: the use ofthe electronic portfolio in the teacher training practicum of three Catalan universities. We had the intention of exploring the possibilities in the communication field between students and tutors of collaborating centers and faculty. The electronic portfolio is anonline tool, which offers the possibility to follow and get evidences of the developmentof teacher training competences. Also allows the review of the student’s practice and topublish comments sent by school mentors and tutors form the faculty. In the attempt of promoting interaction between all the participants, we encourageeverybody using the “comments” tool. After a short period of time using the portfolio, the published information is compared and analyzed in order to evaluate how it has beenused to communicate and how can it be used to evaluate the student practices.Data is collected from semi-structured interviews with mentors and teacher trainingstudents. After revising the work of the students and the evidences of their learningthrough the teaching practice, we attempt to identify which are the specificcontributions of the electronic portfolio and also the needs of developing his use. Theresults of this pilot will be taken as a basis for a new development of this practice duringnext school year
