¿Por qué introducir la perspectiva interseccional en el debate teórico sobre ciudadanía intercultural?

Resumen

En el contexto de las llamadas conflictividades (post)nacionales aparece el reto de configurar un modelo de ciudadanía que incorpore el eje del reconocimiento en interacción con la igualdad. El modelo intercultural es el marco en el que actualmente se está dando esta reflexión. El artículo desarrolla una aproximación teórica y crítica en torno al interculturalismo como enfoque normativo de ciudadanía. Primero, propone una introducción a las tesis que sustentan la propuesta de la ciudadanía intercultural dentro del paradigma republicanista. A continuación, a través de la discusión teórica, se plantea un análisis crítico de dos de los elementos centrales que desarrolla el enfoque intercultural: la relevancia del contacto interpersonal y el papel del espacio público como ejes de reconocimiento. Finalmente, se introduce la perspectiva interseccional para contribuir a la discusión de un marco de ciudadanía donde gane centralidad el análisis de las relaciones de dominación y las formas de desposesión estructurales de la sociedad.
