Abstract

Society in general, and especially the health sector, have had to make great changes in a short period of time, and a large part of the decisions carry a significant ethical burden. Scientific societies and collegial organizations, made up of health professionals, as well as bioethical institutions, with extensive experience in resolving conflicting ethical situations, are in a position very close to the needs and decision-making spheres. Ethical institutions and scientific societies have made an enormous effort, which can be synthesized in the elaboration of protocols, recommendations or guides for clinical decision making; and contribution of critical and specialized knowledge.
