Abstract

Photogrammetry in the Preservation-Restoration of Cultural HeritagePhotogrammetry is a discipline which allows objects to be scanned in a fairly automated way and at a reasonable cost compared to other scanning methods. For some years this technique has been employed in the field of cultural heritage, especially for purposes of documentation, but also as a tool to produce orthophotographs, replicas or to obtain base models to make virtual restorations and recreations, among other uses. The direct applications possible are of great interest to professionals in preservation-restoration and this paper presents case studies which may help to propagate its standardisation in various work processes.
